Love sunshine and get your Vitamin D

On this birthday of mine, I want to be a sunshine 🌞, like literally (read vitamin D 😉)


Probably my last of posts on health & food for a little while now 😆, but as you can guess I love to study about food & it’s medicinal properties.


Also given the current situation with “Social Distancing” and staying indoors, is making me trying to get as much sunlight as I can staying indoors. And so surely vitamin D is one of the top things on my mind currently.


I found out, that I was vitamin D deficient and as you know vitamin D is the first line of defense for your immunity. I was taking vitamin D supplements already but stopped in between when we were traveling to India on a long break. It ended up causing health issues for me. I am back on it again, but long story short, vitamin D is very important for us.


Please read more on vitamin D and unfortunately only way to get vitamin D is from the sunlight or if you are deficient make sure you are taking supplements (and obviously talking to your doctor). Also very few food have vitamin D (e.g. one I know & love are mushrooms).


Since, we can’t go out anywhere, I was going through some of the sunny/beautiful moments from my life in the past decade ❤️
