The Team
Curious Ishaan has unbridled excitement. Blessed he has been from early days, did things often too early for his age, which amazed people around. Reciting the "Hanuman Chalisa" when he was just 3.5 years old and at time he was not fully versed with Hindi but did follow the meanings with our help. Space and astronomy has captured his imagination from very early days. He has been reading books on science, solar system and space & universe since he was three years old. Visiting planetarium and watching shows like "How the Universe Works" and "Lost in Space", has been his favorite ways to spend weekends! Otherwise he is mostly found reading books or playing with his Legos if indoors. When in the park, he loves to bike and playing soccer and cricket with his Dad and loves his swimming classes too. His extraordinary skills were at the fore where he picked up a complex recital on Piano of a Hindi Bhajan (hymn). Currently he is amazing us with his writing skills working on his laptop on his "editorial venture" and is also showing much interest in coding.
Math has been my first love. As a kid in my early grades, I just loved Math as a subject and was the favorite student for the respective teachers. I followed up with degrees in Economics and International Business majoring in Finance and had a brief stint as a banker thereafter. Coming into the land of opportunities, I pursued CFA and post graduate certification from New York University. With Curious Ishaan in our lives, I had to recalibrate. With the blessed and curious mind around, I started to look for ways to further enrich his super abilities I saw early in his childhood. Thus started the mission as Curious Ishaan & Guru Mommy where the goal is to do various activities, often challenging, for kids over and beyond their school curriculum.
Together we have fun while learning some of the often challenging topics for younger kids. Also discussing topics on food, health and travel.
